On January 22 & 23, 2019, at the Hotel Signature Quebec, First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Sustainable Development Institute (FNQLSDI), Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) are organizing a workshop on the Strategic Partnerships initiative – Forest Full Value.
ISC and NRCan intend to jointly implement the Full Forest Value Initiative from 2018/2019 to 2021/2022. This Initiative aims to allow First Nations to benefit from the emerging economic opportunities in Quebec’s forest bioeconomy.
For this purpose, ISC, NRCan and the FNQLSDI invite you to a workshop on the Forest Full Value Initiative with the following objectives:
- Present the Strategic Partnerships initiative (SPI) – Forest Full Value ;
- Present and identify First Nations initiatives in forest bioeconomy;
- Examine the governance and the axes of intervention of the SPI – Forest Full Value;
- Discuss the next steps to come.

Accommodation, meals and incidentals will be reimbursed for 2 delegates per community. However, please note that transportation expenses will be reimbursed for 1 delegate per community to encourage carpooling. A block of rooms has been reserved at the preferred rate until December 22, 2018.
